Digital Horizon (#HACKER book 3)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

As everybody has learned by now, I am a true YA Paranormal fan, but from time to time, you can find me venturing out of my comfort zone and diving into other genres…….

Well, I have once again devoured another phenomenal read by this amazing author. It took me six hours straight, non stop reading, but it has taken me twenty-four hours to gather my thoughts to write this review. I needed time to wrap my brain around the turn of events that happened in this story. Now, I still don’t have my brain wrapped completely around it, but I am ready to share my opinion on this book.

This book starts off where the ending of book two left us, full of raw emotions and completely in shock. I love how the author started off this book. I was hooked, of course, from the very first sentence. This book is full of raw emotions, and yet the main character just keeps chugging through and keeping it together.

Farris
Farris is a strong willed girl, who is smart and sassy, but also quite broken. I actually could feel the feelings of this character pour off the pages and into my mind. I felt as if I was actually the character and not a shadow of the character. This is a very lovable character and no matter what this author did to this character, she stayed strong and made sure her feelings never slipped, and above all, she tried to keep people safe. It’s a lot of the shoulders of a seventeen year old with an old soul.

The story line
The author was spot on with the title for this book. It’s all about the Digital Horizon and how it all works. The author really did her homework while writing this story and I give her a standing ovation for her hard work in bringing this story to life. Of course, we are left with another cliffhanger and I am sure the next book will be just as thrilling as this one was. We met new characters and old in this story, which made this story extremely interesting to read. I really haven’t known of this author for very long, but she is very good at twisting a story and keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout the whole thing. I am very anxious to read more from this author in the months to come. This author has shown all her blood, sweat, and tears in this book and has opened us up to a whole new world, that we behind the scenes, didn’t know really existed. I highly recommend you read this series and get ready to have your mind blown!! I have never in my whole life read anything so mind blowing, spine tingling, edge of your seat writing like this before!!

I give this book my five book review, though this book does deserve more than that!! My proverbial hat goes off to the and this remarkably well written story!!

Anyone who knows me knows that I a reader of YA Paranormal, but sometimes I have a tendency to step out of my comfort zone and read other genres and especially if the synopsis catches my attention and this one really caught my attention. I am a huge fan of Clean Teen Publishing and I love reading anything their authors put out there for our enjoyment in the art of reading.

This is the first time that I have actually read a novel by this author and I am pleasantly surprised by her writing style. I absolutely love Farris and her wittines and spun throughout the book. She is a strong character and one that I fell in love with quickly. I all the twists and turns that the author put into the story to capture my attention and keep me entertained for a few hours of reading. I love the suspense and humor in the book too. I did kind of have the traitor figured out within about the middle of the book but it didn't deture me from reading it. It's a great Teen/YA story that I highly recommend any age to read.

Teenage drama on an military base with an awesome twist and some crime scene investigating and detective work. I loved it and I give it a five book review.

In Too Deep (The #Hackers Series Book 2)

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

I have read almost everything that this author has published and she always has a way of amazing me with her style of writing and this book was no different.

After composing myself, I am able to now think clearly and add my thoughts about this book.

There aren't too many authors who will be able to leave a tragic ending and leaving me sitting there in complete shock, horror and snot crying, and Ms. Ficklin has done it all in this book. Though, you will have to purchase a copy and read it for yourself, because I refuse to give up any more details on the subject.

The characters in the story are remarkable. I love the main character, Farris the most. She is strong willed, cocky, and tech savvy all built into one teenage girl. I love how the author did her homework about computer hacking, because Farris made hacking look easy even when it has several layers of codes and passwords to get through and I am happy that the author added more of Farris and her hacking abilities in this story. It really showed how talented Farris is at what she does. I love how the author tears down this character, but Farris seems to find a way to get back into control. I loved the suspense and the twisted roller coaster ride throughout this book. My emotions of shock were really working while I read this book. I actually sat and read the whole thing in one sitting because I just couldn't put it down. This is a remarkable read and I highly recommend this to all to read.

I am extremely anxious to see where this author will take us next in this series and I will be keeping my eyes open at all times to find out.
