As usual, everything goes to hell in a hand basket as one of their own is kidnapped. Lily must travel across the “pond”, back to her family’s homeland, to retrieve the lost member. Most of my favorite authors are indie or self-pubbed, what made me you decide to go that route?
I have to say that I didn't start out wanting to go the self-published route, but now that I am... I enjoy the ability
to work on my time-table.

What was one of the most surprising things you learned in creating your books?
The complexity of each individual character. Even if they're secondary, they still have a vast story :)

Which of your characters are you most like? Least like?
A little bit of me goes into each of my characters, but I'm probably most like Lilyann. I'm strong on the outside, but I'm always questioning myself.
I'm least like Brentleigh. She's my main character in Perfect Complication. She's timid about things. It takes her a bit to find herself... her voice.

Do you have a particular writing habit?
I write in my batcave. It has to be completely quiet aside from my iPod. Coffee and Greek Yogurt are a must. PLUS... I can't write unless I have on my fuzzy Eeyore socks.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider a mentor?
If I had to choose only one, it would be L.J. Smith.

Are there any new authors that have grasped your interest?
I'm really digging Cameo Renee at the moment. I just started Hidden Wings and it's fabulous! Make sure you check it out!

What is the hardest part of your writing?
Time. It seems as though there is just never enough of it.

Do you have any advice for other writers?
Just to keep writing. Refine your craft.

Describe yourself in three words.
Honest. Hard-working. Emotional.

I know characters are like children but if you could chose, who’s your favorite from your books? Of all time?
My from my own books... I can't pick. That's like choosing which one of your kids is your favorite. From someone else's book?
Travis Maddox from Beautiful Disaster by Jamie McGuire.

Any song or songs that could basically sum up the overall mood of your writing Blood Moon?
Yes. My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light'em Up) by Fallout Boys Blood Moon is very fast paced, fresh and dark.

Do you plot out your books or just freely write them and let the characters tell you what to do next?
I make a general map. But, in all honesty the characters write the books themselves.

If you had to choose, which writer would you consider the biggest influence in your writing?
Richelle Meade. I love her spunk and charisma!

What are your current projects? Can you share a little of your current work with us?
I'm working on 2 different projects at the moment; Conversion, the next full length novel in the Moon Coven Series and Perfect Complication, my first New Adult Contemporary Romance. Umm... I'll be sharing bits in the near future. Keep an eye on my fanpage ;)

Okay, so I'm supposed to tell you about me...
Seriously, if I wrote a book about myself it would take you ten minutes to read and you would be bored stiff after the first two! LOL
I'm a full-time writer, wife, and mother. Which basically means there's always a surplus of pencils lost somewhere in my hair, I usually have some place to be (I'm always late), I have a bad habit of calling family and friends random character's names (from my books), I talk to myself because no one else listens to me, and I can throw together a mean dinner for eight with only ten minutes notice and four ingredients in the pantry, LOL.
If you can't find me on the sidelines of my sons' football games, online, cooking, cleaning, shopping, at the local coffee joint or on the phone wandering aimlessly throughout my house then I've probably hidden myself in my "bat-cave" to write.
I have a positive attitude, and absolute fun-loving approach to life. That makes it easy for the voices in my head to take over on a regular basis providing endless hours of entertainment for my pleasure, and hopefully yours.
Random facts about me:
~My favorite color is pink
~I have a Bishon Frise puppy named Cullen Edward
~My favorite music is hip-hop
~I have a severe addiction to coffee. So much so, that those in my inner circle refuse to speak to me before caffeine O'clock! True Story
Enjoy the ride.
~K.B. xoxo
